Dr Naveed Akhtar MBBS, B.Sc (Hons), MRCS, MRCGP, DFSRH, DRCI, Adv.Dip.Clin.Hyp.
Dr Naveed Akhtar is a principal GP with Special Interests in Minor Surgery, Musculoskeletal Medicine and Mental Health. He is a Master NLP Trainer, a Hypnotherapist and a medical Acupuncturist.
After qualifying from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ Medical School in 2003, he completed his surgical training at Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore and Princess Alexandra Hospital, Harlow achieving Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS) in 2007. He then underwent GP vocational training in Colchester and has been a principal GP for over 12 years.
Since 2008, he has been successfully using Neuro Linguistic Programming with his patients. His success rate skyrocketed when he combined his skills with the principles of hypnosis to develop a unique approach to effectively treating patients within a standard 10 minute consultation.
Together with Dr Toh Wong, they created Neurolinguistic Healthcare which trains consultation skills and therapeutic techniques effectively and easily, mainly aimed at the healthcare professions and organises the Integrative Health Convention.

A full time GP sees over 6000 patients a year. Dr Akhtar and Dr Wong combine years of using Behavioural Science, NLP, Hypnosis and other techniques, and their experience from over 100,000 patients contacts, to develop a field Unconscious Communication in Health. Dr Akhtar will share with you the unique experiences and examples of how specific language patterns and therapeutic techniques can change the way you make patients better!
